Disabled Hikers works with parks, organizations, land managers, and more to improve access, increase capacity, and support Disabled leadership in the outdoors and beyond.
Trainings
Learn how to talk about disability, what access actually means, and how to challenge ableism in the outdoors. Build your capacity for collaborating with the disability community and supporting Disabled leadership.
Trainings are designed to meet the needs of your organization, and may be multi-part. Virtual and in-person options available.
Assessments
Accessibility assessments are best completed by Disabled people. Our unique process includes a full user experience and ADA assessment. We create resources with detailed information for the cross-disability community.
Field experiences are also available to learn about accessibility through lived experience perspectives. We do not do disability simulations.
Consultations
Working on a universal design project? Wondering how to make your program more accessible? Trying to connect your organization with the local disability community? We can offer a wide range of support for program and project development.
Examples include project reviews, program development, feedback sessions, event collaborations, and more.
